Hi all

I am looking to go to Jaco with a gal from 3/20 - 3/22

I have stayed at the Copa before but looking a for a place a bit nicer ... any recommendations?

Also looking to see if there is a disco in Jaco

There is the disco La Central near the beach. It's hard to accurately describe it. Many locals go there, including 'working girls'. The last time I was there, someone got knifed in the bano. There was blood all over the place. It can get quite busy after midnight or so.

There used to be an 'open-air' club/disco just north of the Beatle bar, on the same side of the street. The place was packed, mostly with a 'younger' crowd. The music was very loud. (Thirdworld...is that place still there, and if so, what is the name of it?)

I think someone posted recently about a new disco which recently opened. Thirdworld could probably shed some light on the name and location.

I think you might be talking about Club Ole. The happening place right now is the Monkey bar. Mostly packed with spring breakers but I hear the girls are mingling around in there too. And Nacho Daddies is pretty popular these days. It's probably gonna be a bit hard to get a room this weekend. You might want to try Hotel Poseidon. Not sure if they have rooms but I use them a lot. I don't know about charging chica fees or not, but if you are taking one then it wouldn't be an issue.

Thanks Thirdworld...Club Ole is indeed the place I was thinking of.
Where is the Monkey Bar located?

Does anyone remember when there was a Hooters in Jaco? It was located
on the beach side on the main street, not too far from the Beatle Bar. It
had the orange colors and everything. It closed in 2000 I believe. I think there's a small restaurant there now.
