First to be clear not getting political just making a post to see how this is affecting our travel plans to CR or other "hobby" places, basically anywhere that requires air travel to/from the U.S.

I am still booked on SWA from Austin to San Diego/TJ this Saturday returning Thursday Nov. 13th but just cancelled my hotel in TJ. I may cancel my refundable SWA flight last minute instead going to Monterrey MEX via car to Laredo then a bus on down or going to El Paso so can at least touch feel nice attractive woman. Or if could arrange my schedule and REALLY wanted to go to TJ just drive there 2 days and stay 1 or 2 weeks but cannot do that until Dec. and need some P4P now. Or if retired (soon to be hopefully) cross into MEX and either stay there or book flights to CR or CO outside the U.S. system.

I know this not directly related to CR but is related to any of our up"cumming" monger plans where need air travel from/to the U.S.

For CR I am booked on UAL to San Jose mid January for 2 weeks hopefully the shutdown ended by then.

Yesterday Nov 4th flew from FL to SJO,,, plane was almost full, immigration at SJO was about 45-60 minutes.
it was packed with Americans. Costillo and sportsmen's not suffering from lack of business.

Personally not changing any plans, a worthy note the colon is hovering around 500 to a dollar. The weakest I;ve seen in my life time.

Flaco in Fort Lauderdale

Turned out All good. Last Wednesday mid-day booked to MTY that night on Viva Aerobus and cancelled my SDO/TJ trip on SWA. Had real good time in MTY my "plumbing" flushed and ready for CR coming up soon! I may/may not stay in the gulch this next trip. Might instead stay in an Air BnB near Parque Sabana (Rohrmoser) near that luv motel in case my chicas get denied!

I flew last week of October, just prior to Halloween, and did have delays on the way back into the country, but not going out of the country. The delays were rumored to be a result of hurricane Melissa, and not due to the shut down. Flying between the 3rd week of November and New Year's is just asking for trouble, even without a shutdown. Not just because of the snow effecting flights up north, which causes a domino effect on other flights, but mainly because holiday travels make a mess at the airports.
