The only one I know requires guest fees is Taormina. |

Just to be sure, I called Hotel Barcelo. I was told the guest does have to check in and there is a fee. |

Stayed there a few times and never had a problem. Normally I went to the bar or restaurant first, maybe this made a difference. One time I was exiting the front door and their was an attractive Tica sitting there. Struck up a conversation and she was in fact a working girl who had just finished a session. Long story short next day we ended up having a great session. I know she did not check in and came straight to the room no questions asked. |

I just stayed 7 nights at Hotel Barcelo SJ 7-6 t0 7-13. Great pool and I liked the buffet breakfast. No issues bringing girls in (I told them to just act like they were already staying there.. and I asked one of them to 'dress down' a little) Short Uber ride to Barrio Amon. Even shorter ride to Paseo Colon to my favorite restaurant Machu Picchu (open Thursday Friday Saturday Sunday) |

I like staying at Barcelo. I usually upgrade the room to get access to the premium floor. I do like their beef soup by the way. Typically just take an uber back and forth to Taormina or SL. If I want to just have a quick visit, can rent a room at Taormina for a short term and then head back to Barcelo. If I find someone I want to stay the night, then just go back to Barcelo and check them in. I have never brought more than one per day so not sure if they charge. Also. not sure if you book multiple nights if they have a 2 person for the whole stay or if you can bring one per day. Barcelo is nice and quiet, with a great buffet, pool and garden. |
