Are the hotels going to be strict about guests in Jaco? Only the upscale ones or all of them? Recommendations? Besides Cocal?

My first trip I stayed at Hotel Jaco which is over the bridge to the west right on the beach. No chica fees they just have to make sure to give their ID's to the front desk. Best hotel I've been at out of the 3 in San Jose and the rooms were fairly large

Jaco Hotel was great and open to guests. I usually do VRBO and ask, but this last time I went to the Jaco Hotel and it was very nice. The bartenders are very friendly (actually invited us out for one of the girl's birthday parties) and the food is good. Right off the beach so you just walk out of the hotel and boom, there you are. I had one of the beach/water view rooms and it was very nice, new and well kept.

The only other hotel I stayed in was the Marriott Los Suenos. And I actually got chased down by security there trying to sneak a girl in late at night. So fun, but did get caught.

Hotel Jaco looks pretty cool. What room would you recommend?
Thank you.

I did the ocean front king. I had #11 on the second floor. It was just above the reception area. I loved it. It has a nice living room with big TV and patio looking at the ocean. And the bedroom was nice and large with a desk to work on.

Hotel Jaco is awesome with great mojitos. Remember the safe has a key lock and not a combination.

How far is this from Cocal?

Whats the pool like at this hotel? Im staying at Cocal a few nights and feel like i am going to need a place to actually relax and sleep the last two nights but at same time want guest friendly. Would this place be good for that?

It is a bit of a distance from Cocal. It is surely walkable, but on the way back with a tica I would Uber as they are not usually in shoes for walking... It is close enough though while at the same time far enough away...

The pool is actually nice. Not large, no ocean view (no big view anyway), but it is nicely kept with lounge chairs around it and trees, etc. I liked it and my girlfriend love it last time I was there. The bar is right there as well so you do not have to walk a distance to get something to drink...

Overall this place is a winner.
