All you have to do, is find a rental you like then send a message (Contact Host) to the host and ask "Will there be any problems if I invite a guest over to the rental? No overnight guests, no parties, no drogas, no loud music, total respect for the neighbors!" We do this every trip to Colombia and most don't care, some do and will tell you up front. When this happens,,,,continue your search!

Correct, just be very up front with the host about it. As long you don’t cause too much noise and don’t piss off the neighbors and keep it discreet. Then it should be fine.

I asked a host in Jaco if it was cool if I brought chicas and he said as long as I took care of the place then it was fine. Had no issues.
