Good afternoon. I am returning to San Jose, staying at the SL, after a long break since 2019. I will be arriving on a Monday late evening and was wondering how late the chicas are around at the SL. I should be checking in around 11:00 - 11:30. I do see on the SL website the bar closes at midnight. Any boots on the ground knowledge would be appreciated. And I will post an update for those of you who may be planning a later arrival after I arrive.

The bar stays open till midnight if there are customers. Monday there is a good chance they have closed up early. Extremely slim chance any chicas at SL that late on a Monday.

Take a taxi or Uber to Taormina for both a bar that is open and available chicas.

I think the Taormina Sports Bar is now open 24 hours, seven days a week.

Last February, my connecting flight to SJO got delayed and did not arrive until around midnight. Thankfully, customs didn't take long. I would highly recommend getting the airport transfer with Sportsmen's as the front desk closes at midnight. They made sure the late night security guard was prepared to sort of half check me in and have my room key. The driver was a good sport for having to wait two extra hours. Once you are checked in, or at least have your key, you can come and go as you please. This was a Saturday night and I was a bit surprised the place was totally shut down except for the night security. If you plan to check in fast, you could even check with the driver and he might be willing to take you over to Taormina
