Hello all,

Out of the King & Suite rooms at the la amistad what room numbers are recommended to stay far away from the sound of the passing by of the trains? also the Jet Jaccuzi's anyone have any feedback on what they look like or if they're anything worth paying extra for?

I stayed in room 212 last week. A jacuzzi king room.

The jacuzzi appeared to be very clean and in decent shape but I did not use it so I can't comment on its functionality.

It's a large room, comfortable bed, good large shower. The train noise is pretty bad. First loud horn was at 6:50 am. Periodic until late morning. Resumes late afternoon until sometime after 6pm. I don't think the train runs on weekends.

The train didn't really bother me as I wake up early but if you like to sleep late, you probably won't be able to without good earplugs.

All that said, I really enjoyed my stay at the Amistad. Rooms are in much better shape than the Castillo and are priced well for the area.

Don't know room numbers but rooms on west side are relatively quiet. Ie... the side furthest from the train.

I liked room 201. It was up the short steps left of the check in desk. It's nice room king bed, big fridge, jacuzzi and a little room with a sofa and chair but it's parallel the train tracks. Here is a list of rooms that Dan who was a part owner recommended and gave me a few years back. 201,202,202,310,311,312,211 all have windows. Room 106,212
