WTF I had a Reservation for 2 weeks, normal $60/day no biggie.

I try to extend, $350/ day? I go online, others are $500/ day.

Who has a local car rental hook up good thru the 3rd or 4th that's reasonable?

It is sometimes hard to find rental cars over the holidays. I have used this company a few times. Taormina hooked me up with them years ago and I have also booked them on my own.

There is also one named 4x4 rental car. You can find them online, but you have to book ahead.

Another option is to book a car through your airline. American usually keeps some reserved for their customers.

I'd fugetabout R-A-C over they 'Holy' dayz and just hunker down in close to Pops o Boyton's old cribs near Taormina and get what you can from gulch action. :D :D :D

Yeah, I get its busy.

Now, here's the conclusion to this story. I was basically 'gufted' my regular daily rate thru Xmas, returned the car that day. There were 25 cars in the parking lot, FULL. I got a 1 day rental to circle back to the Caribe for my Tica play date, bit the bullet @$400/per, I go to pick up, different agency, lot is full, 50 fukking cars in there.

I get a text from my normal car guy offering me a weekly rate $280 + deposit starting Jan 2 LOL

I bet they all colluded for 1 week and are just washing these cars right now. Nobody is paying $2500 for a rental car for a week. Hell half the tourists here don't have a credit card w a $2500 limit!

Off thread topic however if in an Asian or liberal Muslim country could find some action at least through Christmas since they don't stop everything over there for it?

Well Jackie, you paid a $400 for a single day, that extends to a $2800 weekly rate. Did they throw in a whole bottle of massage oil gratis? Gone from barely navigating Monicas to having a "normal car guy" in two weeks. :roll: Gotta wonder about a newbie who draws his handle from a character in "The Hustler". :lol: :lol: :lol:

There are news reports that 24,000 tourists entered the country in just two days this past weekend. Gringo families just itching to escape the frozen north after several years of travel restrictions. Cheap asses here to practice our hobby are not a target market.

Dropped off today and wow, garage full of cars! Only 1 couple was renting at 1pm, driving right back to the Caribe funny enough, I asked them what they paid, they booked in November and were at $285/ day. Guy was still shaking his head mad as hell.

Drove past regular car guy and his lot was full too of freshly washed cars, no one checking out.

So weird. Anyway, end of story finally & for the record 1st trip to Monica's doesn't mean newbie in San Jose. There are a lot of men unaware of the Pension scene, the erotic bar scene or even the casino to be honest. Many just know SL and that's it. It takes a good forum & sharing positive experiences with each other to keep us all informed and learning where to navigate to!

It's plain to see good old Ebenezer Scrooge had it right. At least we can thank our lucky stars the Christmas shopping season, with all it's greed and glitter is almost over with for another year.
