Post subject:  4-5 days Trip to San Jose, should I go to Jaco?
Hey guys! this is my return to San Jose after very long time.

Is it worth going to Jaco for 2 nights experience Cocal , beach etc.

or Stick to San Jose check out Taormina, SL and do day trips.

I would wait for a longer trip.
Not sure if you have read about Jaco and are you utilizing the search option but the hotel prices, the cost of Chicas and also your transportation is all something to consider for a 2 night trip.

That being said everyone should experience the Cocal at least 1x.

I personally am not a fan at all of Jaco went there once the summer of 2019. the beach is worst I’ve seen in this beautiful country of Costa Rica and once outside the Cocal and walking down towards the main drag lots of shady characters hanging out eyeing gringos. I definitely would never walk around alone at night outside the Cocal. And for what It’s worth, I have never felt like this or uneasy in San Jose

I understand but for a 5 day trip. I personally would concentrate on San Jose.

I say go for it. Personally I would hit Jaco first so you are not stressed about getting back for a flight. The first trip I did to CR I stayed at Sportsmans for 2 nights, then Jaco for 2 nights. I don't see any reason not to visit both. I rented a car while I was there because I wanted to see some of the country side. One girl that I met the first night of San Jose who worked in the tourism industry took me to some cool places on day two because I could drive us around. I'm seeing her again on my next trip and we are going to visit the Caribbean side together which I've never seen before.
