I arrive to SJ from NYC early morning, I have a reservation for Taormina for that day but I need a room to crash for a couple of hours before check-in. I sleep jack shit on the planes and get off very tired after the ride. I have been trying to contact the hotel to see if I can get early check-in but all I hear is crickets Any suggestions where i can crash for a couple of hours before I meet my amiguita? |

I would first stop by the Taormina. It will probably be close to 10am by the time you get to the hotel. I doubt it is that full and you might be able to check in. If you can't check in you could stretch out on one of the sofas in the lobby. That might provide them with some incentive to get you into a room  If that fails, there is a short time hotel, La Oficina, not too far away. Should be about a $2 uber to get there. Not fancy but not a total dive. |
