I have had good luck with the Hotel Coral Suites. A relatively short walk to Habanos / Don Julios. A month and a half ago it was totally guest friendly but I would email them to confirm that is still the policy.

AC Marriott, just around the corner from Habanos used to have a $28 guest fee but I heard that it recently increased to over $50.

JW Marriott charges $100 for unregistered guests but the bar is a great place to meet ladies and take them back to your hotel.

I used to stay at the Hyatt around the corner from Habanos. No fee, but a ID check of the girls. It may have changed but it used to be great there, especially with the roof top pool for daytime fun.

Group of 5 in Panama in May (Friday early AM to Monday) - where you suggest we stay? We saw few Airbnbs -condo towers and host doesn't say when we asked "if local guests are allowed or not".

If a host doesn't answer a direct question, I would avoid.

since we are a large group, who generally prefers homes with pools , there are only few of them around panama city. As usual, they all say all something like all guests need to be registered or there is a gated security etc.
Does it mean they don't want single male people like us to stay...
We have couple of local contacts and thinking to bring couple more.
