I haven't been to CR since the pandemic and am planning a return shortly. My go to hotel was always the Amistad, but I'm hearing mixed things about their current open/closed status.

I will probably be booking at the Castillo, all things considered. I'm wondering if anyone who has been there recently can provide some room number recommendations. A don't need a fancy room - a Queen is more economical and would suit me. I just would like to be in a room without a lot of "outside room" noise, if possible.

Any recommendations/ideas would be appreciated.

I am the Castillo now. I have never stayed in a queen room but I am right by the bar and the noise is not too bad. Also the bar closes at 11 so really all you are going to hear are the high heels clicking on the tile floors and the occasional headboard banging.

The Amistad is open by the way but the restaurant is now run by a third party. I don't know the status of the all inclusive but you should be able to find out by conta ting them through their website.

I stayed at the Amistad many times ago. But never at the Castillo.
How does the all inclusive work if you register a guest for the entire stay.

Do you have to pay extra to have her drinks and meals included ? Or does she have
she have to pay as you go ?

TIA

I have not stayed at Castillo since Fall 2021, back then the Castillo was charging 50 a day for your Chica to be all inclusive too.

I would recommend asking when making reservation to confirm that above price.

And do remember, even though the Amistad has little to no bar noise in the evening, you do get that very loud wakeup call from the train every morning. It was never really an issue for me as I am an early riser but for those that like to sleep in it can be a problem.

Agreed. Stayed they one year and moved out the next day because of that.
