Post subject:  cheap hotels
It's been about 4-5 years since my last trip.

I'm coming in July it seems (not my choice), and I'm not interested in paying $100/night for a hotel.

What are the best cheaper options these days?

P.S. Can't help you partner... these days I only go down to CR for work (yes, really), so I usually stay at a hotel paid for by my company (Hilton or Hilton Gardens, Marriott RI, etc.)

I stayed at LA last month for 6 nights, non all-inclusive. With CRT discount it ended up being $60.69 a night. It was quiet except for the occasional train. Only 3-4 other guys were staying there but it is booking up fast now that people know it is open.

Oso Grande at SL was $169, but it's been too long since I left the states. Pent up travel and all..
