What is the best and closest hotel to the Del Rey area, that allows girls and is safe to walk back and forth? Who has the best rooms and food, etc., etc? Where is there a map of the track? I also heard Azul Blue has a hotel. Is that true?

There have been innumerable posts on this subject do a little research.

Nick,

Here's a bone for ya... I understand that sometimes it's hard to find specific info when you aren't sure where to look.

In the gulch close to Del Rey...

Morazon (half a block, I think)
Sportsman's Lodge (don't know)
Presidente (1 block down, 1 block to the right)
Holiday Inn (1 block away)

I'm not sure where two of these are located in reference to the DR, but they are all in the gulch area and should help you in atleast STARTING to search for other places. There are more hotels to choose from, but those 4 above are the ones you can do a search for and will DEFINITELY get plenty of info on them and others.

Hey

Sportsmans is not within easy walking distance.

Only 5 min by cab but not a convenient walk.

Maybe 6 or 7 blocks.

Holiday In is NOT very chicas friendly-they charge $20 every time you take one to your room.
Dont forget the Amon Plaza offers a CRT discount.

In daytime, Amon, and its many hotels, are an easy walk to the gulch for most people. At night that is much more of an issue. From the Sportsman, Castillo, Hemmingway, Don Carlos, Amon Plaza, or any of the others, take a cab home, but for anybody reasonably healthy, the walk there before dark is no big deal.
