Looking for a recommendation for a King room location, very few steps and away from the bar area. Thanks for any suggestions jimbo |

Have stayed in El Rey a couple times I like it. The tub /shower is a little funky though |

The two rooms by the front desk are king. They are the ‘Upstairs’ penthouses because they are up a short staircase. Relatively quiet and far enough from the bar area noise. Not to be confused with the 3rd floor penthouses PH1, PH2, and PH3 |

Room 18 is a king balcony just across from the pool table. My favorite room. |

No security there but the vibe is different. Never seen / had any issues as the chicas know they will get banned for shenanigans. Front gate is always locked and you buzz in at all hours of the day but it’s no big deal |

Room 18 is slightly bigger than 23 but not enough to make much difference. Room 23 is going to be quieter than room 18 as it sits one floor up from the bar. Wifi is slightly better in room 18 than 23 though not by much. They both kind of suck for wifi and I never had any luck getting a connection on either balcony. The only negative to the balcony in room 23 is that there is an apartment just to the right and people can see everything you are doing if they are on their balcony. It's also quite a bit smaller but does seem to have a bigger "roof". |

What is the guest policy at Castillo? Do the girls have to sign in or do you have to come out for them? Is there a charge? |

No guest fee. No limit on number or frequency of guests. No real checkin or ID check. There a a few women that have been banned but that list is nowhere near as large as the one at the Sportsmens. Personally, I like it when they need to check in at the front desk and leave their ID. It makes things a lot easier and safer if there is any trouble, theft, etc. though I have never had an issue there. |

Greetings, are there still the 2 rooms located on the 3rd floor up both the 2 stair cases from the sitting area? I used to stay there back in the day. Does Darren R. still manage the Castillo/LA? Thanks for any info. |
