Any recommendations for a good place to stay beach front in Jaco other than Cocal? Would like to walk to Cocal for fun but get to some quieter spot for sleeping

I'm going to be at the Hotel Jaco next week for a couple of nights. I'll post a report when I finish my stay.

I have had good experience with hotel Pochote Grande. A few blocks past Claritas.

Location: The Banana Republic
In November 2021 I spent 4 days at the Blue Marlin which is located on Cocal Drive about 50 yards from the Cocal. A prime location for watching the chicas walk down to the Cocal. It's chica friendly, no guest fee. Rates were $90 a night on Booking.com but some people that just walked up got a much better rate. The rooms look new but lack refrigerators and other amenities. Several cool guys staying there to drink and BS with. We all used the pool house refrigerator to chill beer and booze and I guess you could cook in the kitchen. If you stay there get a key to the front gate so you can come and go as you please. The place has 2 pools and they are going to open a sports bar and disco soon. Due to its location it is a better option than Clarita's which I have recommended in the past.

I wrote a pretty detailed review in the thread "Affordable Hotels on Jaco". OVERALL I would definitely recommend and stay again.
