I just noticed the Del Rey website is back up, not sure when that happened but it has been updated. Very encouraging.

I did check out the site. At the bottom, where the copyright info usually goes it says Hotel Delrey 2022. A good sign?

I clicked on the rooms link and the rooms with just one bed were listed at $119 and $219 for a Daily room and an Exclusive room respectively. They also had one room listed with 4 beds they call a Family Room. Maybe not a good sign.

The descriptions of all of the rooms just had that default nonsense verbiage that you get when you first build a web page with default templates.

There is a page to book a room but I didn't try it. Also contact numbers are listed.

Something is happening.

I emailed them a few days ago. This was their reply:

"Thank you very much to contact Del Rey Hotel & Casino, it will be a
great pleasure to welcome you back and bring you our famous hospitality.
At the moment we are finishing certain details to reopen , we are
expecting to be ready by February 1st but that will depend also on the
goverment requirements concerning the pandemic situation, please get
back to us at the end of the month so we can provide you some update information.
Greetings from the hotel staff"

I've sent them a follow up to see if the "culture" there will be changing at all...we'll see

I'm gonna be standing in line on Feb 1. Hoping the training is going well and I will be the 1st guy shortchanged by the crooked bartenders,

Their reply regarding any changes to policies at the hotel was:

Most businesses these days, even in CR, do a “soft opening” so problems on a widely advertised “opening day” do not get undo publicity.
