Jawanker wrote: I am reluctant to exceed my allotted number of posts per MSN ![]() I have been told on good authority that, yes, there have been some. But I doubt there will be a lot of publicity about this as it is not good for business. And the upcoming change where all hotels, bars, etc. can only allow fully vaccinated people to enter is to take effect some time soon. Hopefully that reduces the chances of catching it when you are there. |

Is "fully vaccinated" defined in CR as having the initial 2 shots or include the "booster" as well? |

CR is not currently requiring boosters for tourists, I expect that to change if/when the WHO defines what "fully vaccinated" means. CR has begun offering boosters to first responders, those over 65, and those with underlying health conditions whose 2-shot sequence is over 6 months old. In the case of some first responders, this is mandatory. I have personal knowledge of one police officer (publica fuerza) and one doctor (Hospital Mexico) where it was mandatory for them to work. This was as of 12-December. |

Just got an email from the SL an starting today, they are mandating vaccination so they can operate at 100% capacity. I am assuming that it is required for both the hotel and the bar. |

The CDC says https://www.cdc.gov/vaccines/covid-19/index.html When You’ve Been Fully Vaccinated How to Protect Yourself and Others Updated Oct. 15, 2021 CDC now recommends booster shots at 5 months after the completion of the primary series of Pfizer-BioNTech COVID-19 vaccine for those aged 16 and older, see media statement The WHO says https://www.who.int/news/item/23-12-202 ... y-mid-2022 They tend to talk about “fully vaccinated” as in a population of a country or region, not on a personal level. |
