Can you still carry your own bottle and mixer into SL and pay a corking fee?

Never have been able to do that. You can buy a bottle from the bar and they will put your name on it, and that's your's and only your's. You can't carry a bottle off the street into the bar area at Sportsmans. After buying your bottle, you still also have to buy set-ups, if you are mixing.

I thought the same thing years ago and tried to carry a bottle of Grey Goose into the bar. I thought Carla was going to shit herself the way she told me to stop and I couldn't bring my own.

I have bought the bottle from the bar. They put your name on it. Then I'd buy a coco cola for a 1,ooo C . I 've left a bottle there for over a year and Victor went down stairs brought it up and gave it to me. This was in June I believe :o :D

Things went so far in the early 2000's some guys (C****M***e, [a US chain restaurant manager, btw]) were going so far as bringing their own booze and mixers in from the outside. They would fix drinks for themselves, friends, and chicas and bring them out to the bar to drink. My advice is to check with the business about the policy in effect now. Remember, it is a business. If the business doesn't turn a profit it goes away.

Hey normie, why did you begin the topic and then provide a conflicting answer when you when you got an reply you didn't like? You really that stupid, or just stirring up shit? Enjoy your trip.

If you buy the booze locally you might be able to talk them in to it but the "corkage" fee will probably be more or greater than what they would sell you a bottle for. It would only make sense if you wanted to drink something that they don't serve. When I am there for more than a couple of days I usually buy a bottle of Jim Beam to keep behind the bar. I forget the price but when I did the math it worked out to a pretty good deal.

What I know they will not allow (at least they didn't for me) is to bring a bottle into the bar from duty free. Since there are no CR tax stamps on the bottle, they would be risking their license if they are caught with it anywhere in the bar area. In the room is OK but show some courtesy to the business and don't mix drinks and take them to the bar. As a previous poster stated they are trying to run a business.

In a similar vein, I was at the Castillo a few weeks ago and one of the guests got indignant and somewhat belligerent when he couldn't give his all inclusive cocktails to the woman he was with since he said he didn't drink. Had to laugh at that one. I thought Ruthie was going to blow a gasket. He almost had a heart attack when she handed him his bill.

The reason I asked but then gave the conflicting answer was because it has been several years so I wanted to be sure before I did it. Now I know I should check with the bar.

Thanks again.
