My last trip I stayed at Hotel Castillo because La Amistad was still closed. I'd like to try LA for my next stay and I was wondering if I could get room recommendations for those of you who have stayed there.

Room 202 take the first stairway and it is on your left. Jacuzzi in room and windows open to let in a cool breeze and you see everyone who enters the hotel Great walkin shower for 2 or 3

Watch out for the step in the middle of the room in 202. Room201 & 210 were favorites of mine

I have never stayed at Castillo. Which is better, La Amistad or Castillo?

And since this thread is talking about room recommendations, what are the best rooms at Castillo?

The PH rooms with the rooftop decks are really nice. Getting a BJ on the deck while sipping your drink is sublime. The Pool room sort of upstairs from the front desk is a nice room but kind of noisy due to the way the sliding door work.
