Post subject:  La Amistad - room recommendations

On my last trip I stayed at Hotel Castillo because La Amistad was still closed. I had always stayed at SL until last year and I enjoyed the change. Just wondering if anyone who has stayed at LA has any recommendations for which rooms to request ( probably king). Thanks

210 and 211 are nice. 2nd floor and were fairly quiet.

There are 2 rooms right up the stairs by the front desk that are kings with jacuzzis.
One of them is relatively loud in the morning as it has an interior window over the kitchen serving area, but nothing compared to the train.
Can’t recall the room numbers as it’s been awhile.

There is also a large room up the stairs past the bar on the 2nd floor that has a King and a couch.

Best to Call the hotel and ask about the available rooms in King since some of this may have changed.

Pura vida!

The train is something right out of the movie "My Cousin Vinny". You can hear it as far away as Castillo.

Yes but unfortunately without Marissa Tomei.

Years ago I checked into Amistad about 3pm. I wanted to lay down and rest an hour because of a long night. My head hit the pillow and 15 seconds later WHAAAAAAA!! The train was right outside and LOUD! So bad I had to check out. Checked into the Dunn Inn down the street. My total time in the hotel was less than an hour.

Yes but unfortunately without Marissa Tomei.

But Maria Tomar is more attainable possibility.
