Does anyone know if any of the higher end hotels in San Jose that allow guests? Places like radisson, Sheraton, Hilton, holiday inn, etc. Thx for the help!

For a fee it might be possible. I remember the Holiday Inn had a $60 or $80 guest fee. Not sure what it is now during the pandemic.

Sleep Inn - Hotel Paseo Las Damas
downtown San Jose very close HDR.
I saw a comment dated Sept 2019 in Bookings.com for this hotel & it said guest fee $25.

I don’t think it has been that low in 5+ years

Best bet is for OP to call the hotel of choice and outright ask, they get this question more often than you think

Most do not allow guests, that is most in downtown area of San Jose. You have to check with the host to be sure.

Airbnb's are allowed to have any rules they want. I use them regularly and have found some who do not seem to have a problem with me and my guests. I have found it is best to be completely honest that I will have visitors. Some have said no problem and others have made it very clear they will not allow any unregistered guests. Best to be upfront as they can ask you to leave at any given time for any reason and my understanding is there will be no refund. And no I will not share my list of those I book with since I do not want to risk some party animal to ruin it for me. Remember most Airbnb's are in family oriented buildings so discretion is the big key here. They are worth finding though, my last stay was for a new 10th floor condo 3 bed 2.5 bath washer/dryer with swimming pool jacuzzi exercise room for $60 per night. So far I have found 7 I can book with no problem and all are less than $70.

This post is from BEFORE THE PANDEMIC but you might use it as a starting point - recommend contacting all properties listed first to determine their current policies re: "guests".

As a side note, the Hilton now has TWO properties in the Sabana area - in addition to the original Hilton Garden Inn they also built a Hilton San Jose La Sabana, right where El Chicote Restaurant used to be.

I've stayed at these and had chicas visit and/or stay with me at the hotel.
