Since my first trip to CR is coming up in June, I put Cocal into Google maps and it shows as Cebolinas..J. But the hotel info website in google/maps actually links to Hotel Cocal and casino. Two names for the same place? Or they changed the name? I'm asking because somebody here mentioned a great pool party on Friday and Saturday at Cocal. Will that still be happening in June? What's it like at the pool party? Assuming it still happens in June, I'm making my travel itinerary to stay there. But if it's not there anymore, I can pass on staying in Jaco and just go to Dominical or someplace else. Thanks! |

Good question! The hotel name has been changed in Google maps. Everything else looks the same including the website they haven’t updated in years. Best solution: give them a call and ask. You will have to call or email them at some point to make a reservation. Their website has never been capable of taking reservations for the hotel. |

They do call it a “pool party” but that is incidental to there being a pool in the vicinity. No chicas will be wearing bikinis, and no one will be getting in the pool. Perhaps during the day you might see a couple chicas in the pool that are hooked up for a longer time with some dudes. The girls will be wearing their sexiest apparel, high heels, low cut dresses, short shorts, whatever shows off their best assets best. All trying to be noticed by potential paying customers, you.
