This morning I received an email from Jetblue that my flight to Orlando on June 2 was cancelled so I went online to look at bookings and found .....

April - No flights on Tuesdays, Thursdays, or Saturdays
May - No flights Tuesday or Wednesday except for May 5
June - No flights Tuesday or Wednesday for the first two weeks

there is also a note that "The route you’ve selected only operates seasonally". I have never noticed this before.

Glitch? Temporary cutback in service due to reduced demand? End of mongering in CR? (Hopefully the first, Probably the second)

The rates remained relatively the same depending on the day of the week ($158 to $320).

Jetblue cancellations would cause the end of mongering in CR?

Anyway, the main point probably is that such cancellations and reductions in flights will have an impact, and that is certain. For example, there were a couple of flights per day from Toronto in the past. That is now 0. They are all suspended and or cancelled. So be thankful if you have any, I suppose. And a lot of them will not come back immediately, if ever. Air carriers have reduced their routes and service worldwide, and in the near future they will want to fill every plane at maximum fares to make up for the pandemic losses. Less flights, no discounts, and every flight full. That is the coming reality.

Southwest still has no flights planned to Costa Rica Thru August and their customer service does not know when they will re-start operations. I have a feeling that the airport will be less than full for some time.

Yeah, yeah, but this was MY flight!

In a somewhat humorous side comment, the CR government has sprung into action to jumpstart tourism and economic recovery. In a bold move (notice I said bold not bowel), they have mandated that all non-essential public employees take a vacation during semana santa (which they have done every year since Chepito was in diapers).

I think that you're overstating the impact of mongering in CR. It's like when years back, guys would say that closing Del Rey would ruin the CR economy.

In a way.....I think less mongering would be a great idea. The surge in recent years of horny young bucks looking for a cheap f*ck is what led to the degradation of the hobby. Time for a reset.

LaUUUra, fellow Georgetown alum, was a bute. Remember her billboards by the airport "Don't come to CR to molest K*ds" or similar, with the gringo on it? A mini sized one immed outside the first door exiting customs. Pissed me off.

In my years before and after her, never read about a gringo getting pinched. Maybe I missed it. But I read the rags daily even when state side, post-internet. I remember a Canadian about 20 years ago, CR rentista, got nailed running his little harem for personal use.

But at least 5x a year I read about a Tico perv gets busted for under-age, or way under-age, often his own.

Maybe LaUUUra thought we were all Jesuit priests like @ Georgetown, or our Pope and his "Spiritual Son", his first appointed Bishop and now #2 at the Vatican, 100% perv who got busted and exiled to the Vatican, https://www.lifesitenews.com/blogs/brea ... duct-prior.

Cheapest JetBlue fare MCO/SJO just went from $158 per leg to $195 (fare only). More flights cancelled, only three flights a week during April.

Good old Spirit, tops in reliability, comfort, and customer service.

Just to point out, JetBlue cancelled 15 out of 30 flights in the month of April giving ticket holders no notice or compensation beyond a refund. They can re-book on alternate days, but at a 20% rate increase. They did this roughly 3 weeks ahead of the departure date. I imagine people already had time off work arranged, hotels and tours booked. Pura Vida

airlines have identified pedophiles coming from the area of Boyton Beach Florida and not allowing them or those affiliated with Joe Biden to include MR BSF Boyton so his flights have been cancelled, as He is the Nephew of Cuba Dave who has corrupierd true Mongers. DEATH TO CUBA & Boyton
