Found a site for downloading this CR Map .

www.thecostaricaguide.com/acrobat/costaricamap.pdf

be sure to choose sychronize to 'view off line' to retain this zoom-in map of the whole country on your PC or laptop.
Take your laptop along as you travel around-

Maybe admin 1 would make this a sticky Aid to all CR Travelers

The website is copyright 2006-don't know how up-to-date the map is, but with my limited country-knowledge, it looks good to me. The link takes you right there.
