Does anyone have suggestions for rooms with a decent balcony at the SL? I find it relaxing to have a drink, sit by one, and enjoy the weather (especially when it rains). I've done it a few times at the bar but it would also be nice to have somewhere quieter/more private. To date, I've only stayed in rooms in the clubhouse and courtyard.

The El Rey room has a sundeck, but not a balcony. My last stay was in 2012, so I'm not sure if that might have changed. The SL web site still says "private patio".

2 of my favorite rooms at SL are Puma and Leon in the Mansion Wing and at the very end of the Mansion Wing just before the side Balcony of the SL. Puma and Leon are directly across from each other. Although it is not your own private balcony there is rarely ever anyone there and it is literally 4 or 5 steps from each room. It's a nice, large and very quiet balcony with a comfortable sofa and couple of chairs and I love going out there and just hanging out with a drink and my Ipad. They lock the door by early evening however, I know that the Puma room has a button on its door that allows you to unlock the door to the patio when the doors are closed (not sure about Leon). In 10 years or so (and I go there at least once a year) I think I've seen 1 other person out there and he was chilling and smoking a cigar.
And to your point, I was just there this past September. Stayed in Puma and it was raining a good amount and I thoroughly enjoyed stepping out onto that patio and taking in the sounds and smell of the rains. Being from CA. where rain no longer exists that was a refreshing change.

El Rey does have a sunroom with patio furniture . It has an opaque ceiling so you don't get direct sunlight. I like the room it's a good place to chill

I stayed in the Mirador. First room at the top of the steps with a view of the back of the building, overlooking the bar. I liked it.

De Admin has set the post limit for non-VIP's to 30 which limits the lifetime of these trolls. More drastic measures such as blocking non-VIP posting completely would probably be too limiting. This particular parasite has reached his limit and will need to go through the registration process for another 30.

What I do is add these accounts to my 'Foe List". Click on the posters name, then click 'Add foe'. This will hide their post when you view the forum. The process takes3 clicks. It works similar to an 'Ignore' in FaceBook. It will not stop them sending PM's and you can always click through to see their posts if you are looking for a new watch or pair of knock-off sneakers.

Unfortunately, the SimpletonEscorts shill keeps creating new accounts.

A suggestion... a bit more work for an admin, but moderate the posts for all new members until they have posted some normal / useful / appropriate posts. Then take away the moderation requirement. That stops these spammers.
