After a long absence am returning to Jaco (passing thru for only 2 days on my way to OSA) and I would like a hotel suggestion that would make my life easy in terms of P4P. Been over 10 years since I was last in Jaco and I used to stay mostly at Canciones Del Mar which was on the beach. I'm sure things have changed a lot and I have no clue what's good and not good these days. Just want to relax in Jaco for 2 days and hopefully find some good company for an evening. Hotel price is not really an issue. Where would you suggest?

Not sure if it’s going to be open but if it is, then the Hotel Cocal is your option.

Cocal is open now. The "good company for an evening" you are looking for come to the Cocal, so you don't have to go looking for it, it comes to you.

Hotels that allow guests have been getting harder to find in Jaco. Anymore I am only certain of Cocal. Some other hotels will look the other way if not too obvious, but it is a risk depending on who is working.

I have not stayed at La Sirena Playa Jaco hotel, but I confirmed by email with them on Oct 20 that they are chica friendly (lasirenaplayajaco@gmail.com). I saw this place mentioned in another forum thread so I emailed them to get the straight scoop. I was considering a run to Jaco but never went. This is NOT Hotel La Sirena way south of Jaco. This one is right in Jaco and shows on google maps.

I realize you've probably been to OSA and back, but for whatever it's worth: Hotel South Beach is awesome. Monger friendly. Never crazy like the Cocal and a great bar right on the beach. Big balconiesw on the upper floors. Comfy beds too. The two top rooms facing the beach are as good as it gets and not over-priced.
