Not to gloat, but my significant other is a flight attendant with a major US airline. I usually book my flights the day before I travel, depending on the loads.

Just curious when you guys think the best deals are for airfare. Just the other day i saw a ticket for san jose at 349 but it was only till aprill so I couldnt snatch it up since my plans arent till the begginings of June. |

I don't think I can use the poll to answer that. I just purchased for May but it was a great deal. It depends on the specials, travel time offered and availability. I have waited until 3 weeks prior. The price drives my buying decision. |

I found, in GENERAL, the sweet spot for buying tickets is 10 days in advance. Also, making sure that you have a Saturday stay over and returning on a Monday or Tuesday. Seems to be the best bet that I have found. dapanz1 |

To a large degree price drives when I buy.I just wait for the right price to come up and my dates are fairly flexible.I tend to find the best deals between 2 or 3 weeks and 2 months out.rbc100 |
