Hey guys!

My first post here...I have been to Costa Rica twice before, my 40th birthday and my 50th birthday. I'm 52 years old now and am headed back end of Feb. with a friend. We are spending the arrival night and day before departure at HDR, and headed to Jaco for four nights in between. I know some of you will say stay in San Jose but frankly I love the selection of ladies at Cocal! (Beatle Bar when I was 40 lol). Problem is Cocal and their sister property Condos Vista Mar are full, as is the new Blue Marlin hotel supposedly opening up in two weeks. The guy who answered for Hotel Cocal said they have seven rooms right outside the hotel (but part of Hotel Cocal). I booked two rooms because I was out of options, but has anybody heard anything about these "New" rooms the hotel has?

Appreciate any help and if anyone will be in San Jose or Jaco Feb. 20-25 let me know and the first round is on me! :D

Cocal has been buying up property around their hotel. They bought Hotel Mango Mar which was between the parking lot rooms and the beach. Was my go to place in Jaco. I was told they were converting those into 2 bedroom suits.

They also bought a small building just south of the hotel. Just the other side of the small street on what would be the back side of some of the pool side rooms. If my memory is correct, I think they mentioned 7 rooms there. Seems to fit.

They mentioned it to me because I was complaining about noise in most of the Cocal rooms. They suggested it as potentially a quieter option. Close enough to walk in 2 minutes.

Thanks Bulldog...It was definitely the seven rooms you speak of. I appreciate the insight!
