Perhaps a weird/silly question, but if I wanted to have heavy (not-walkable) grocery-store type items like a couple cases of bottled water delivered to a hotel in the general SL, Castillo, Amistad neighborhood area, do I need to taxi it back myself (I have a bum shoulder), or are there guys available (Uber, taxis, hotel valets?) that can be sent on a quick shopping errand for propina? And, where should I shop?

This is obviously for my personal in-room or walking outside consumption (I walk a lot) as I would always buy at the bar if sitting there. It's not an avoidance of paying bar price. It's just that even when at home I only drink bottled water, and hydrate frequently, so during personal time it's important to have a good supply, and I drink enough that I can't pay retail/bar price during non-bar time. The first thing I do after checking into any hotel worldwide is to make a supermarket run and get my case or two of water... but 99% of the time I've got a rental car, which I won't have.

I don't want to make a big deal about it, and I know it's a real specific question, but it's part of my hotel routine, so I'm curious! Thanks for everything you guys contribute here.

Most of the times that I use taxi or uber for weekly shopping (Walmart, Mas x Menos, Automercado)...

Thank you! Very helpful details! Luckily, I speak the language, so I've got that part conquered. By the way, I don't believe you are in Boynton now, but I'm near Boynton. Been in LatAm a lot (but not CR), so the vibe is familiar, and trying to fill in the other blanks here, thanks to the generosity of people like yourself!
