I have a reservation at La Amistad from May 2 to May 9 and would appreciate a description of the room locations. I prefer not to climb stairs and have requested a quiet room with as few stairs as possible. I thought it would be easier if someone could suggest what double non-smoking with a queen bed room or rooms to specifically request. Thanks in advance for any suggestions.

Best is to call the hotel, they have a toll free number for the US but you are in DR it seems.

I did when I originally booked. What happens if a chica I have been corresponding with meets me at the airport and stays with me for all or part of the week. I do not drink alcohol. Can she have mine if she wants and I just pay for her food and my juice? Is the food reasonably priced since she is not on the plan?

Add her on for 50.00 per day and you do not have to worry about it. The food is some of the best you will find in San Jose.

You can pay an extra $50/nt to add your chica to the all inclusive. Well worth it if she is spending the day and night with you as the food and drink prices are not the cheapest in town.

mikeppsych If you have never met the girl, I do not recommend her meeting you at the airport. Too many things can go wrong. If you are interested in meeting her, just meet her at LA. At least there she will have to produce her cedula and her age will be checked. I remember reading on this forum of people who have had problems when girls they had never met greeted them at the airport.

Do not waste your time or money on the escort packages they are not worth it. Sousua used to be the fish in a barrel place to go but times have changed. I would still recommend it, and I do still go there, but it is not the Sosua of Cuba Dave days. The girls in the Rey would shit themselves if they had to compete for the $$$ there, the girls are a lot more open and aggressive but a ton of fun. If you speak spanish you will find you do not need to go to Sosua and that you can pick up more girls that you run into as cashiers, waitressess, bartenders, etc. I prefer to stay in Cabarete and rent a car. In the DR you can get 10 days with girls for about $2000.00 plus way better beer.

A reply to several comments because I do not know how to reply individually: room 202 is a penthouse and costs almost twice as much so no thanks especially if I am paying an additional $50 a day for food for the chica; packages in the DR cost a fortune and are not needed especially if you speak any Spanish; I have spoken with this young lady many times with a camera and microphone and she is 30, speaks perfect English, has an American visa, has has been to the USA multiple times so while your advice is generally excellent I am really not worried once she actually meets me at the airport; I have literally a couple hundred non-professional chica friends in the DR on Facebook and the majority would go out for the 2 or 3 hours I insisted on for $30 or $40, and in 13 years there I never gave a chica more except the ones I lived with but it was very important that I spoke Spanish, knew the system, and had an excellent reputation

I could be wrong, but all the rooms on the first floor are to the right as you pass the bar....the likely hood of them being quiet is slim due to the train right outside. Just a heads up.

There are three or four rooms to the left as you walk in past the dining tables. If you go towards the opening to the kitchen there is a hallway to the rooms.
