I always recommend the 3n1 tour that visits Doka Coffee Plantation, Poas Volcano National Park, and La Paz Waterfall Gardens. It includes breakfast and lunch and you should be back by 6pm. |

As mentioned, Pacuare River rafting was an awesome experience, but can beat you up a bit. Also, Manuel Antonio National Park is beautiful, but gets you back late as I remember. |
