I am looking for a very nice chica friendly place to stay in San Jose, even if the cost is expensive. In my opinion, the Presidente is a dump. I stayed there once in a room that spelled like a chimney; I could hardly breathe. The room was small and dingy.

I am looking for a much nicer place. Does anyone have any recommendations?

Dennis:
with all due respect when was the last time you stayed at the Presidente 2003? The Presidente is hardly a dump in fact it has some of the nicest rooms in the city. With that said they are still shall we said Chica Tolerable but for your purposes of cost and chica "friendly" the above 3 options certainly fit the bill.

There are some new hotels that are now VIP sponsors as well with some lower discounted types rooms. which are listed on the VIP Discounts list.
Taqacia looks really budget conscience and is very Chica friendly.

If you are truly not price-conscious, overall it's the Hotel M. That said, SL/La A/ Dunn Inn are only 1/2 step behind.
NOTE: El Prez is not a CRT Sponsor so even if everything else is equal, I support our friends This is not a slam on El Prez--it is what it is.

Has something changed? Presidente was the first sponsor and the last I heard they continue to be a sponsor but a "silent" one.

Everyone has a valid opinion when it comes to rating various things from chica looks to best tasting beer. I would rate the SL/La A/ Dunn Inn a giant half step behind the Hotel M.

Brother ID's points are well made. My subtle point is that El Prez is such a stealthy Sponsor and their Chica dress-code is so butt-tight that it's a distinction without a difference. I should modify my previous Post to say they (El Prez) are no close friends of ours...and I don't hang with folks who are embarrassed by my presence. Besides the Brother asked about the best and I don't believe you can make that case for El Prez anymore--the alternatives mentioned are just flat better. Thus I have (arrogantly) spoken.

Presidente no longer offers a CRT discount but they do offer a client rate for regular guests that stay at least 10 days/yr. Guess after that last tv news fiasco they decided it best to sever ties with CRT, more so than HLH.

Sleep Inn is really nice and allow chicas in for a fee. Also Holiday Inn is real nice and allow chicas in for a fee. I say Sleep Inn for proximity and comfort of beds and showers. I carried a girl from USA to CR for a visit and we stayed there. As you guys know I am a Morazan fan but not for my American girlfriend. I did not have to pay the chica fee for her but if $$$ is not an issue whats an extra $ 25.00 for something nice. I can not comment on Hotel M as I have never been there.

You are either being factious or unaware that the chica fee at Holiday Inn is $70.00 at last report.

And the Sleep Inn's fee is $25, which can get you a session at many MP's. The HI's $70 will pay for a chica from the HDR; the HI is barely chica-tolerant, that fee means "stay the phuck away, we don't want your kind here".

Yes, the Hotel M or the Sportsmens Lodge's Mansion wing are the OP's best alternative to the Presidente if he doesn't care about price. Both are much more chica-friendly as well. If those are too much, then a large room at the Amistad, Dunn Inn, Castillo, or Freebird would make up the second tier. No chica fees for any of them either. There's also Hotel Little Havana, though it still is more an MP than a real hotel. :D

Just stay at the Dunn Inn, guarantee you will be happy. Rooms are nice, no hassles, and close to everything. My recommendation; however, there are other choices.

$70 and they charge 13% tax = $80. That's what they told me last Sept.

I got stuck the "old section" a couple times back then and it was nothing special, amazing how much nicer it is now. Remember they used to have a couple little corner studio rooms for like 40.00?, they were small but what a bargain.
It's hard to answer Dennis request since it seems illogical, makes me wonder is he just a complainer or posting to entertain himself? A little research would answer his question (RTFF) but to play along if he thinks the Pres. is currently a dump then how can the Dunn Inn or Castillo possibly compare? Hotel M, SL Mansion wing or Sleep Inn might make him happy.
