Not always. Some are clear, others are vague, and most don’t say anything. It’s easy enough to write the owner and ask their policy - which I plan on doing.
I was only looking for recommendations or input from the board if anyone wanted to share their experiences. Good or bad.

Totally agree... I have stayed in an Airbnb in Centro. I never actually asked, but as the place advertised itself as being near the Del Rey I thought I might not need to ask more. But generally ask the host about guests. I know one place I was looking at in Centro made it very clear that if you brought in a guest for sex you would be thrown out and not get any refund. Some just don't say anything...but if you're sharing a room in a house I would assume guests would not be welcome. For places where you do not share any space you still may be in close proximity to a family.... or as in my case (I operate with Airbnb) an owner who lives directly under the master bedroom...lol.
I operate in a different country, different environment...but generally my guests ask if they can have non registered friends drop in or whatever. So far none has brought in a working girls, as far as I know...but I would want them to be very discreet as I live on a residential street and my neighbors watch me like a hawk. If a cab showed up at my place and a woman got out I'm sure someone would notice.
