They have flights at 5:50 AM, 8:32 AM and 11 AM. Probably have to have more than 1 passenger to fly.

Nature Air is not flying / out of business. SANSA doesn't book through Expedia, Orbitiz, etc.

I will add that SANSA flies Cessna Caravans (the B model I think) that seat "12" passengers (if the passengers are Somalis) and their luggage (if their luggage is a paper bag of air).

Weight restrictions are - passengers: 250 pounds with any personal carry-on (backpack, whatever); luggage: 35 pounds. They do weigh you. I had to get off a flight in Tortuguero because (due to SANSA's poor planning) it was overweight with 10 passengers (3 gringos, 4 Mexicans and 3 Ticos).

Seats are small and the cabin is tight.

If your friend is panicky about small planes then he needs to consider driving / taking the bus.

Other thing to consider if you fly into Liberia and your flight gets canceled you get a bus ride to San Jose...... Not many flights into/out of Liberia, Easy 3.5 hours. Better to fly into San Jose

Just rent a car one way

About 24 flights in and 22 out (not including 3 times a day with SANSA). Delta, United, Alaska, American, Avianca.

Liberia (- Daniel Oduber Quiros International Airport - LIR) arrivals and departures).

Houston, LA, Chicago, Atlanta, and so on. No direct international flights.

Primary airport for all the folks going to Tamarindo, etc. You know, that tourist part of CR we don't go to?
