I have been going to CR for many years. I used to have relationships with the hotel staff, where they remember me and give me good rates and upgrades. I use to just call them and tell them when I'm coming and they would give me a good rate and take care of me. Not any more. Many of the hotels are being mismanaged and their staff leaves them. At the Taormina they have changed managers and staff about every 6 months. Now the current management would rather have an empty rooms then to give a long time customer a good rate. Same with the Dunn Inn. I can get better rates not off the internet for the hotel websites then from calling them and getting a rate. Now its 30% higher then the online prices. Sorry for venting, just getting tired of the CR bullshit at time.
