Post subject: | Hotel in Jaco Fishing Recommendations |
We're staying at Amistad/Castillo 8/16 - 8/20 and are making a day trip to Jaco on the 17th and coming back evening of 18th. Had a few questions that I was hoping the board could help out with. I've never been to Jaco but have been to the Gulch many times. 1. Should we keep the all inclusive with the Castillo/Amistad and use them as a ride to Jaco and back? Or should I cancel one night and find my own ride to/from Jaco? and cancel one night at Castillo/Amistad? There are two of us and we did the penthouse so it's a total of about ~$300 we would save by cancelling. 2. Which hotel would you recommend for partying one night in Jaco (Chica Friendly) and close access to all the activities. 3. Any recommendations on fishing excursions? We would like to go early morning on the 17th. Would be cool to see some marlins. Thanks in advance |

My wing and I stayed 2 days at LA, got a free ride to Cocal for a one night stay, picked up by an LA cab and stayed at LA another 2 days. Then a free ride to the airport the end of our stay. Only had to pay 4 nights at LA. 2. Which hotel would you recommend for partying one night in Jaco (Chica Friendly) and close access to all the activities. Cocal or Mango Mar. 3. Any recommendations on fishing excursions? We would like to go early morning on the 17th. Would be cool to see some marlins. No comment Thanks in advance |

I know a charter operation out of Los Suenos. Downeast Guides Services has a boat - the Dragin Fly (part of the Dragin syndicate). But they normally run multi-day trips out to the seamounts (which is where you are going to catch marlin). I know and trust George and Anna. Maybe they can point you to an honest day charter. |
