I've stayed at La Amistad 4 times but haven't toured all the rooms. Anyone ever stay in one of the 2 studio apartments with kitchens? Are they a good choice? How are they for train noise and cold A/C? Thanks Guys! NJ |

I have (the one on the third floor - bedroom facing AV 11, sitting room facing Calle 15) . I had to get up early (like 0430) so I was awake when the train came through - but it's right there. As I remember the AC was in the bedroom. As it's San Jose it was fine in the rest of the suite with the windows open. And this was just posted on Facebook Quote: Hotel Amistad is getting a face lift in June. We will be changing mattresses, tv's and air condition units this month in all the rooms. If you have a favorite room please call us to make sure your room is available. This should all be complete by July. Thanks for all your support over the last 12 years.

Both 310 and 311 are great studio/apartments. The penthouse and other are several more steps up. |
