Post subject:  Club Del Mar- Jaco Beach
Coming down for our first trip in mid-April. My buds and I have been making an annual trip to Cabo San Lucas for the past 14 years. Unfortunately, I think we made a mistake by not hitting CR for at least the last five. Cabo is no longer, IMHO, a good mongering destination.

In any event, the way I see it, because of the multitudes of phenomenal information provided on this site, it is virtually impossible even for a doofus like me to screw up this trip. My way of saying thank you for all the valuable information provided.

Now, onto my question. Has anyone ever stayed at the Club Del Mar in Jaco? Or at the very least, can anyone provide second hand info? We are staying at this location for at least four nights during our April stay.

I stayed at the Club del Mar about 4 weeks ago in Jaco. For me it was absolutely PERFECT!. I stayed in on of the 1 bedroom condo's. The room was outstanding--clean--very nice decor etc. Location wise it is at the very end of Jaco Beach so it is somewhat secluded from the hustle and bustle of downtown Jaco. To get to town you'll have to drive but it's barely a 5 minute drive. Nice bar restaurant area at the entrance and best of all: No Chica Fees. I ordered a girl from G & G services from San Jose and when she arrived at the Hotel, they escorted her directly to my room with no problem. Bottom line: I enjoyed it a lot.

Yea...its a nice spot. A taxi downtown is only 5 minutes and a couple of bucks. You should enjoy it. What price are you paying if you dont mind my asking?

Four of us are staying in two of the 2 bedroom condos. $960 for the two condos for three nights. Probably a bit on the high side. Still, nothing like the money spent on similar accomodations in Cabo.

By the way, are taxis easily found in Jaco? Any cab driver recommended? If we find a good one, we'll use him/her the entire three days.

There are cabs all over the place in Jaco, not a problem. And Del Mar is a great place. Beautiful end of the beach. They are chica friendly but I wouldn't take the tacky, gaudy dressed ones there.

Any good daytime activities down at that end of the beach? Volleyball, pool parties, beach parties? Anything worthwhile?

There used to be a beautiful ARgentinian babe who ran the surf house on the beach at the Jaco Fiesta Hotel right nearby. You might want to stop and see if she is still there...and maybe wants to PARTY :twisted: Cant remember her name, but she speaks good English... Blonde hot Argentinian...
