I have received emails from 3 differnt friends that this past Sunday, there was a Fire at Vista Linda Apartments. I am told that it affected 3 apartments in the rear building. One friend had to move to a hotel downtown. I have not spoken to Carlos yet, but will call him today. Knowing him, he will have a full crew in too make repairs very quickly. Any guys having reservations, may want to contact him to reconfirm. Carlos DOES answer emails...but it usually takes a bit of time. Will post more later.

I spoke with Carlos a few minutes ago. It seems that an older fellow fell asleep while cooking something on the stove. A fire started and damaged that apartment with minor smoke damage to 2 others. They are already repainted and the damaged apartment is being repaired. Vista Linda remains a good economical lodging alternative especially if you are staying a week or more.
