I was delayed and arrived back in the Midwest 24 hours late. Ended up spending the night at a hotel in Houston.

got stuck myself for 2 xtra days. Copa Airlines cancelled & delayed my flights Mon. & Tues. making it impossible to get to Panama City to make my connection. The airport closed due to the volcanic eruptions. Got out on Wednesday, smooth sailing.
Certainly a lot worse places to be stuck-did some more socializing & made a couple new young, sexy friends!!!

Normally, I also consider getting stuck for 2 days to be 2 extra days of vacation as well. However, if I get stuck at Juan Santamaria, there are a few ways out of that, but you do have to find someone who works for your airline and knows what they're doing. That would be a NO when you're talking to almost any desk agent at the airport. If you're not already at the airport, then definitely don't go there. You have to get your airline's people on the phone at their headquarters service center. The agents at the airport have no imagination and often they don't even work for the airline (even though they wear the uniform).

I got stuck with a closed airport (Juan S.) about 1 or 2 years ago, and called up the airline. The flights were cancelled for at least 2 days. I was in Jacó and really did need to get back to the States. I got rebooked instantly on a flight out of Liberia with no extra cost, and the airline even picked up the shuttle fare (about $50) from Jacó to Liberia. The drive time difference is less than 1-1/2 hours to Liberia from Jacó, plus it's so much easier to move through the airport there.

This is an easy sell for you because the airline is already worried about where they're going to find hundreds of empty seats out of Juan Santamaria if it's closed for 2 days.

On Tuesday after having received an e-mail from Copa that my flight from sjo-pty was delayed 6 hrs., I got on the phone to get rebooked. I tried their 800 # and the local # & got busy signals for an hr. & when I finally got thru I was told my ticket was now "under the control of the airport" & I would have to go there to get rebooked for Wednesday. I really didn't want to spend the time & $50 or so to take a roundtrip to the airport. After thinking about it for a bit (over 2 ice cold Imperial Silvers at the sl) I remembered from a past mp hunt that Copa had a location in the city at the Torre Mercedes edeficio. Manfred looked it up for me & found another location at Plaza Antares in San Pedro. I took a quick taxi trip out there where the agent rebooked me quickly for Wednesday. After that I could relax & returned to the sl to find myself some companionship for the evening-a rubia was in order!

I just ran into her. She's a nice girl. And, if you noticed, I didn't say anything else. There are reasons we can't have nice things.

I do reference some chicas by name. Luna for example. Until some douchebag decides to show someone (not Luna) a thread about Luna.

Going to San Pedro was smart. Obviously the ticket wasn't "under control of the airport" because you were able to get it fixed at a location other than the airport. That's just agent training, trying to shuffle you off to the airport if it's the same day of your flight or close to the time of your flight. It's 2016... Any agent near a computer can rebook you, it's just a question of whether or not they want to or have the skills to do it. The airport is the worst, because that's where the lowest-paid, least-experienced workers are, and they don't know much about ticket booking, and that's where the long lines are.

Yes!!! Blonde hair, beautiful face, a bit thick on the bottom. Found her early eve @ sl & took her to # 312 for some stargazing from the balcony. Before leaving she told me she was gonna get some take-out, I didn't think she was gonna get it at the la. I usually walk em down but being in # 312 I stayed & had a beer while relaxing on the balcony before headin back to the sl for dinner.

She didn't give me 10k colones back. Funny how twice in 1 day or paths more or less crossed.
