Its my last full day in CR and I figured I would write a crocs review. I'll try to get a full trip report up soon.

Crocs is probably the nicest hotel in Jaco, at least that i've walked into. It has many positives and if you are used to a nicer western style hotel then I dont think it really gets better than this. There were a few negatives as well, but for the most part minor.

First of all, this is a really large hotel. I think it has 16 floors with about 20-25 rooms per floor. Some of the higher floors are actually condos which I found out from someone. The thing is that it was never really busy. It just doesnt seem like they are getting a whole lot of business. The casino was never crowded, the restaurants were usually pretty slow. Even the free breakfast was not as busy for a hotel of this size.

The facilities are kept up really really well. There are people cleaning and maintaining this place all day long. If you told me it was opened 6 months ago I'd probably believe it. Everything is really top notch, the lobby area, all restaurants are really nicely done and high end.

I booked my room through hotels.com and got a standard room, mountain view. They had some special where the rooms were only $120 a night plus stay 2 nights and get a 3rd free. So i was here for 6 nights and it worked out perfectly. Knowing they had suites and ocean view rooms upon checkin I put a $50 bill into my passport and handed it to the guy checking me in asking if there were any room upgrades? He upgraded me to a ocean view jr. suite which was pretty awesome. Big room, with one king bed ( i really wanted 2 beds but all the jr. suites are 1 bed ) desk, sitting area, nice bathroom with tub, and some other random furniture. Everything in the rooms is nice, towels, sheets, pillows, finishes. All top notch. They actually come by to clean the rooms 2 times a day. Once around 9am and once around 3pm. The cleaning ladies will even lay out all your toiletries and personal stuff properly. They even hung up my clothes and would hang my wet trunks on a hanger over the tub. Nice service here! I was on the 6th floor and the wifi in the room is really good. Strong signal and speed was good.

The pool area is super nice, really large pool, nice towel service, bar and restaurant by the pool. Really a good place to relax and hang out. My biggest issue is that there is very little shade unless your under an umbrella. During the day it gets so hot and the sun is so strong its hard to be in the pool for more than 20 minutes.

The hotel is chica friendly. I only had a few minor issues bringing girls into the hotel but there is no charge. They will stop your car at the gate and look over the girls to make sure they are sort of presentable. I brought back a real slutty chica one night and they didnt give me any issues. You just need to check her into the front desk. I only had 2 issues with chicas at this hotel. One was when I found these 2 gorgeous nicas and wanted to bring them both home, at the front desk the nice gentleman informed me that only 1 guest is allowed in the room at any time. So, no threesoms at crocs I guess. The other issue is that there are mostly families and other costa ricans vacationing here so its sorta obvious when your with a girl and plenty of eyes are on you.

The breakfast is pretty good, they have 4 set choices with coffee and juice. Nothing great, but nothing bad either. There are 4 or 5 restaurants at the hotel, the coffee shop is pretty good with pastries and sandwiches. The only other resturant I ate at was the parsley and pepper room service. I had a $12 burger that was just not very good, I also asked for a bottle of water and they brought me a $7 bottle of fiji water. I guess I should have asked but I just dont enjoy paying $7 for water.

The hotel is located on the far north end of jaco and is really a bit far away from everything. You can walk, but its hot and you'll be super sweaty. Luckily they usually have a taxi there or can call once within a few minutes and its only $2-4 for anywhere in jaco.

Overall, I really really enjoyed staying here. Its very clean, very comfortable and just a nice place to relax.

Thanks. Nice review.

Personally, If I am bringing random girls, I'd prefer to stay at the cocal or another less family-friendly hotel. I want to be the guest of honor, not 'tolerated'.

Yea, I know what you mean. Most of the time not an issue since it's later in the evening but one chica spent the night and next day with me. They actually gave her a breakfast coupon and everything.

Plus I didn't feel like I'm sleeping on mattress that's 50% jizz. They need to label the beds at the cocal; one for sleep and one for banging.

Yes, very complete and detailed review. Thanks!

Seems like a possible alternative to Cocal, especially if you wife up during your visit. However, although it is chica tolerant, the constant prying and checking can get a bit annoying.

The only reason to go to Jaco is to monger, no other redeeming qualities to the place. If thats the case, Cocal is still the overall most convenient venue.

Nice review
I have stayed at cocal 9 or 10 times but last trip stayed at crocs and really enjoyed it. I have been wifing up but occasionally 1 of her friends join us for a 3some. Since she is checked into room I wonder if we can have a guest. That question will be answered soon. I never used room service but agree on food be hit or miss.
I disagree with poster who said the only reason to go to jaco is for mongering I for 1 enjoy jaco. Crocs is a good alternative to cocal especially if you enjoy pools.
I have seen it busy and slow casino usually picks up for s few hours at night and the weekend I was there sunday breakfast was packed better to go early.

At $120 a night it is about the same as the new Cocal prices.

Crocs is a high-end venue that is very nice . . . and is so empty. I don't know how they are able to pay the light bill.

I think what I really liked about crocs is that I felt like I was on a nice vacation instead of staying at a brothel. Both have their benefits for sure, but this gives some options.

There are also several rental condo options in Jaco that don't have any issues with multiple chicas. And they have full amenities, like washer/dryer, and full kitchens.

Crocs pricing on their site is $170-$260 a nite. Better to use other sites to book.
