I have a girlfriend in the States that is dying to visit Costa Rica. She wants to visit a volcano and enjoy the hot springs. I don't want her to see the whore-mongering scene. I'd like to take her to a honeymoon style location with volcanic hot springs. I'm looking for recommendations. |

The royal corin is also very nice, and a little less expensive. And the entire staff speaks english. |

Arenal is for sure where you want to go...and there is NO monger scene in that area. Check out www.arenal.net for a lot of ideas on hotels and activities. |

Tambor Is nice. The ferry ride is good also to Tambor. The resort Barcalo Is a little outdated. But still good price for all inclusive Resort. PURE VIDA |

Sorry just remembered another place to take her. Hotel Riu Guanacaste its All Inclusive. Hotel Riu Palace is also All Inclusive. They are right next to each other. The RIU Palace is very nice. I have stayed at both. Have no complaints on either. Personal choice Palace. |

That's an almost guaranteed Home-Run for a honeymoon-style volcano/hot springs vacation. Baldi is more of a family place. http://www.hotelarenalkioro.com/ If you ever do have a need to go more "family-oriented" in the Arenal area, The Springs is my first choice. It's almost cartoonishly "Disney World", but it is a fun place, and the K*ds will Love It! http://www.thespringscostarica.com/ If you really want to WOW your girl with an over-the-top Hot Springs experience, take her to Tabacón for the day. http://www.tabacon.com/ |

I'm vacillating between Kioro and Royal Corin. What did you like most about the Corin? |
