recommend driving in to puntarenas and taking the car ferry
pretty sure i recall all the beer you can swill as long as you can stand on two legs

Yes, the food is not great, but where is it in CR? Nice pools and they have entertainment in the evenings It has a big clean beach but not much character Depending on what you are looking for I would say it is a decent value |

Thanks, LAdiablo....just looking to get on the beach awhile and hang by the pool to drink beer. Got a super rate of $140.00 a night so I might just take it. You're right about the food in CR! |

If you have a car you should really take a day trip to Santa Teresa--only 45 minutes and great beaches and quite a place to see--it is definitely Costa Rica--great beaches and very interesting little city--dirt roads--good restaurants--pretty drive Have fun |
