Hey guys, thinking about heading down to Jaco for New years. How is it down there for that holiday? Can I expect it to be dead or will it be bountiful? All info is appreciated!! thanks |

San Jose is dead that time of year so there's no way they are raising prices, but all beach hotels jack up their rack rates for Christmas/New Year and Easter week by up to 25%, if not more. |

I have to tell you, I went for Christmas and New Years one year and stayed at the Del Rey. I was a working man at the time so this was the only time I could go. I had a blast! Completely different than other times but I had more than I could handle. I should mention this was over 15 years ago. Beats sitting at home in the midwest in December. |

Got a room at Cocal for 4 days 12/30 - 1/3. No problem at all. Novia is bringing her girlfriends with her. Looks like I'll be having a good time. Thanks to all who responded. ![]() |
