It used to be good in Amante. The last time I was there it was quite sketchy. Much of the time I had to use my iphone as a hotspot. I'm not sure what has happened. However, it's always good in the bar or in the Mansion sitting area.

We did have a few issues around Labor Day. Configurations for the routers was the problem for a few days. Should be good to very good now....

I always travel with an external wifi antenna. It vastly improves sketchy connections in many hotel rooms both US and CR. Especially good for parking lot rooms at Cocal. Alfa makes very good antennas, about $30 on Amazon

Looks like a handy gadget. But this requires a usb port or antenna jack yes? My android tablet has neither.

This is not about the SL Wi-Fi because it's actually pretty good from what I remember staying there years ago. But regarding Wi-Fi at the hotels in general... I don't get how bad it is at some places, especially when it's such a cheap and easy fix. It's the internet era, there should be a router on every floor and if the place is big, multiple routers per floor. At Mona Lisa 4th floor last year, I could not get a signal. I was using Dunn Inn's Wi-Fi signal from 250 feet away and across the street and 4 floor up. I would say that Dunn's Wi-Fi is pretty strong.

The external antennas I’m aware of need a USB connection. Don’t know of any way to interface with a tablet. You could possible carry your own wifi extender, some are about the size of a deck of cards. But sounds like SL will be fine.

I agree completely with Orange. As a consultant I need to stay in contact. Always searching for connections can turn a hotel stay into a frustrating experience. For me enough to seek alternative venues. Easy way to lose a customer for what is a cheap fix. Wifi extenders start at about $20

Mona Lisa just installed multiple routers on each floor. I was able to get strong signal as I walked around the place, even the stairs.

Nice to hear! I might now actually consider staying at the ML again!

Finished my stay last week. Actually wound up in the Mansion wing. Solid Wi-Fi the whole time. :mrgreen:
