On Volaris Airlines. Who the "F" is Volaris Air? Safe to fly? A subsidiary of Aeroflot or Air Congo?

it's a Mexican airlines. They have been flying out of Chicago for awhile to big cities in Mexico. I know they have good pricing to Mexico but I have never flown them. I would go for it.......I just checked it for Chicago to SJO. Shitty connections but round trip $272.00!!!!

I went on the website to price a trip in Novemebr and also came up with R/T in the $400+. It may have been an error in the "alert" I received but the alert definitely had "R/T" next to the $278 price:

Los Angeles - San Jose
$278 RT
Airline: Volaris

On the homepage of their website, under promo code, you have to select the "50% Off Travel to/from Costa Rica Guatemala or Puerto Rico" option before you search for flights. I priced R/T from LAX to SJO for Nov. 11 - 19 at $277.57.

The layover in GDL (Guadalajara) is about 14 hours for departure and 11 hours for arrival. Still worth it. $278 is a great price!

LAD, if you end up in Guadalajara, I would greatly appreciate some GOOD tequila. I mean since you will be in the neighborhood. Last time my buddy was there, he brought me a bottle that you cannot buy outside of Mexico. It cost $12 and was the best I have ever tasted.

I will keep the beer cooler on lock down until you get here.

im getting emails from other airlines advertising other central and south american destinations other than SJO that look to be ridiculously low....
also getting quotes from United to Manila w 1 stop for 705$

perhaps travelers are benefitting from increased competition between the airlines AND other destinations.
some prices are almost pre 9/11 levels...

take advantage while it lasts... great time to be a traveler in this business cycle
