Ok--I was one of the guys that complained about money stolen from my safe here awhile back. Had 3 reservations at DR for me and 2 friends, 1 of which had stayed there before with me (at ML). He really liked the place--so I E-Mailed Guy to see if we could get the $39.99 deal.. Guy said no problem and set it up for us. I canceled at DR. All 3 of us had a great time with no issues and every time we ran into Guy he asked how everything was going and if there was anything he do could do for us--just let him know (real gentleman). They were re-doing the lobby floors but was not a problem. Restaurant was not open yet. Surprising number of girls in the evenings--one buddy tried out a couple and was happy with both. Met fellow CRT member "Rico"--a real good guy (also staying at ML) Used the casino safe as recommended with no problems. With the new owners... I hope they make it work....and a big thanks to Guy!! |

Tellen, Were there safes in the rooms? How did the casino safe work? Is it like a safety deposit box at a bank in the states? Can you elaborate a little on how the casino safe works? Will it hold a 10" tablet, I bring a passport, money, phone and a tablet. The last 4 years we stayed at the Castillo, and since its under construction we were looking for a same price range hotel and guest friendly. The ML was suggested, and then I read where its under some construction and new management to possibly combat the alleged thefts. Now I'm second guessing our choice and our trip is fast approaching in mid June. Thanks for any feedback or input. |

Casino safe (larger amounts) is guaranteed by hotel and available 12AM to 12PM daily. Some remodeling going on but wasn't a problem. We got the $39.99 deal--nice for this price. If it were the normal CRT price of $69.99--I'd probably stay at SL or DR.........we had no issues for our visit!! |
