Which hotel would you recommend for a couple that enjoys women/men/couples? And, also likes to stay in more upscale accommodations.

Only hotel that is openly a 'swinger' type hotel that I know of is Copacabana in Jaco. The suites are nice but the normal rooms are fairly cramped. They do have a fenced clothing optional pool with beds around it which you won't find anywhere else that I know of. Have a couple that I take there about every 3 months and they just love it mainly because of the like-minded people they have met there. Here is the website... http://www.copacabanadesirehotel.com/

If you are thinking San Jose, any of the good hotels downtown like Sportsmen's, Amistad, or Zona2 (suites only) are very receptive to couples looking for some "extracurricular" activities but that will mainly involve a paid transaction with the girl of your choice. All three of those hotels have some fantastic rooms like the Amistad Penthouse or Sportsmen's Mansion Wing.

If you are thinking Guanacaste, know ATK just had a nice porn shoot at the Four Seasons ;)

Yes. Sorry I should have been more detailed. We will be in San Jose. We will having paid interactions as well. We have been before together and stayed at Havana Hotel I believe. But, it was not very nice at the time.

Hotel Mona Lisa is an American standard hotel with good size rooms and bathrooms. Over the last year I have run into 4 or 5 couples in the lifestyle and they indicated they really enjoyed their stays there. For a couple of months the ML actually had an onsite couples club but it has closed already. Also it is centrally located to most of the spots talked about on this board. Truth is though any of the talked about monger venues would make you feel very comfortable.

A few months ago there was a couple staying at La Amistad. All the guys there were very respectful and cool about it. They had a really nice time. I believe his handle on here is TXmike, you might want to send him a message for his opinion.

Confirmed TXMIKE is his name. You can also do a search by user name for his posts, reviews and adventures.

My wife and I have been to SJ eight times. We're not swingers, but we enjoy sharing a girl. Our first 3 trips we stayed at the Sleep Inn. When they raised their chica fees we started going to HLH/Scores. They messed up our reservation once, so we stayed at La Amistad. We often take girls from HDR and SL. We've never had any problem at any of these places. The staff at SL and Scores have even helped us find girls that liked being with women. Our next trip is in April and we're staying at La Amistad. We'll probably spend a lot of time at SL. The same advise applies for couples as for singles, negotiate up front!

I agree with PVT, the only place I know that specifically caters to swingers in CR in the Copa in Jaco.
I remember back in the 90's Jamaica had swingers resorts who advertised like crazy. But I know people who went there and they said the were expensive and they sucked and I haven't heard much about them recently.

But today I think the best destination for swingers might be Punta Cana in the DR. They have many adult only hotels with nude private beaches who cater to many swingers. The area is pretty nice, easy to get to, and comparitively cheap for what you get.

We are not really looking for swingers on this trip. We will mostly be playing with singles. My wife is bi and likes the sexy Costa Rica girls too. And, CR guys love her. I just wanted to figure out if any of the hotels that are cool for bringing people back to the room are at least somewhat upscale.

Thinking La Amistad might be our best choice.

We did go to a swingers club last time in San Jose. It was a hot night. Copa in Jaco is terrible in our experience. Hedo in Jamaica is where to go if looking for other swingers.

A few months back there were swinger get togethers at the Mona Lisa, Club Taboo. The hotel is nice and the price is great. It is not a bad choise. Nobody notices a guy with two chics. Probably wouldn't notice two guys going to a room with one girl. I was in the Sportsman's the other day and saw a guy checking in with a Gringa. When she came out and started trolling the bar it was pretty obvious but who cares. Whatever floats your boat.

We did in fact stay at LA and loved it. We also visited SL and loved the visits with the ExPats and flirting with the girls. We also visited Zona2 and spent time with a young lady in Freddie's Place. In fact she became our favorita.

Each place was great and welcoming.

The LA would be the preference for a future couples stay due to: food, rooms, no girls in bar/restaurant area, and you can generally slip into romantic date mode there. I am told there is a swinger club close but we did not go.

Ah... memories.
