My experience has been that they will look for an open space to stamp your passport, not necessarily at the end of the stamps. The last time I went through immigration there, they stamped over an old stamp that was rather faded, in the middle of the used pages.

If you have a problem, it most likely will be from the airline departing your country. I would check with them.

My passport is damn-near empty, but I have 2 pages that have 2 entry stamps from CR. They simply used the same pages. Now, that doesn't mean they'd share a page with another country's stamp.

Never been an issue for me for any country that did not require a visa. They just stamp where they want, sometimes over other countries stamps.

I'd be surprised if you have a problem in Costa Rica. They'll find an open space on any page to use for their small stamp. As long as your passport is NOT close to expiring, you should be OK.

No worries, they will look for a Nicaraguan stamp and will stamp over that.

Seriously- if you have space for 1 stamp, you will be ok. The bigger issue is does your passport expire within 6 months? If so, renew it or you will most likely be denied boarding or denied entry into CR if the airline misses it.
